About the Artist

Jay Bryant Ward grew up with a love for drawing and a very supportive family who encouraged his artistic pursuits. At a young age, Jay’s illustration work gained him an Honored Student Award for his entrepreneurial efforts and three national art awards for his paintings and illustrations all before leaving High School.

Jay attended Ricks College and Brigham Young University graduating with a BFA emphasis in illustration. There, He studied under artists/painters Leon Parson, Robert Barrett, Richard Hull, and Don Seegmiller. Ward has also been fortunate to receive instruction from the world-renowned painter, Richard Schmid. “This was a heightening experience for me,” Ward claims, “as my years of study converged, I developed a clearer understanding of the artistic principles underlying great art, …and I discovered there, a way to bring my art to light.”

Jay is a bit of a 'modern day Davinci'. He taught both digital and traditional art classes at Salt Lake Community College for many years. Early in his teaching experience, he was inspired with an idea to overcome theses obstacles and help artists of all levels and styles so he invented a way to dissect show the principles of art and design in any image, clearly illustrating the abstract concepts that have alluded aspiring artists and the art education world for generations (See ARTiSTiC-i.com). Later challenged by the notion that customer's wall are already full, he created QIK FRAME, a reinvention the traditional picture frame making it so that anyone can change pictures in 3 seconds or less, without taking the frame off the wall! QIK FRAME was awarded multiple patents and was later sold to MCS Industries, Inc. One of the largest manufacturers and distributors of Picture frames in the world.

Today, Jay enjoys a blend of art and entrepreneurship and dedicates himself wholeheartedly to painting, creating products that people love, and helping others find success with their creative voice. His latest project has been helping his youngest son, Keean launch a crazy fun new dice game he created, called Dice Attack.
